Doesn't look like they have anything that will work with my setup.Looks like the best option, and what I kinda figured I'd have to go with. I really wanted long tube headers. :( Lol.
So my 351w is finally completely in my 68 f100 and running right. Timed it last night and wound up around 24 degrees advanced on 91. Here's the current videos so you have an idea of what I'm working with.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G83eVofg6UMhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qNiaaMYnxG8...
Okay. So I completed my 351w swap into my 68 f100. When I got the engine, it was in a 78 f150 and was using a duraspark 2 ignition system. After the initial headache of figuring out the wiring, it ran like a champ. For a few days. Got it home one day and parked it, went to start it up a couple...
Ok, so I'm pretty sure I know where the white wire goes. It should go to the starter solenoid, if I'm reading these diagrams correctly. So the only mystery left is where the red/blue wire goes. I do have a red/blue wire coming from my ignition switch and it also goes to the starter solenoid, on...
I'd really appreciate it. I've been trying for a couple days now to find something that looks like mine, but no luck. Why Ford didn't at least number the terminals is beyond me....
Okay. So I bought a 68 F100 with a 390 in it. Long story short, that 390 got toasted. So I bought my bro's old 78 F150 which I was told had a 390. Started pulling it, and it's a 1970ish 351W out of a Mustang. Bored .060 over, dished pistons, ported heads, and all that neat stuff, so I really...
Wow. I was looking at an 08 250 exactly like that first one, and cringed ad the $30k price tag. lol.Haha. Oops. Didn't see the date on this til I clicked submit.
You're forgetting the 460, since he said 150 OR 250. :pMy 460 is in a lifted 1-ton with oversized tires. I have no idea what the actual gearing is, but it came stock with 3.55's. I can't imagine those are still in there since it feels as torquey as it does with those big tires. lol.Anyway...
I personally haven't done anything to the engine. I know it's got a Magnaflow exhaust, and like I said, has an aftermarket cam and heads. I pulled 8k lbs with it the other day and could barely tell it was there. haha.
Right now it's just a 460 with a few engine mods. Cam, heads, stuff like that. all done by the PO, but it definitely added some pep that I haven't seen from other 460's. haha.
It's all there. They came with a fancy harness that had all kinds of stuff I didn't understand. lol. I just wired it up like the diagram said. They actually run fairly cool, compared to the other lights anyway. haha.
It's unbelievably nice. Haha. My friends sister was driving home while we were messing around on the back roads, and she said she could see the glow behind the hill about 3 miles away. When we finally topped the hill she said it was like staring at the sun (yes, I shut them off when I saw her...
Haha. I can watch my battery gauge drop every time I flip a switch on. And for some reason, my radio goes to static when I turn on the LED's :rofl:So yeah, higher output alternator and dual batteries are a future mod. haha
Thanks guys! Gonna tighten up all the wiring tonight, since I had to have it loose while I was adjusting everything. Also have a set of Hella 500's that should be here tomorrow. Still tryin to figure out where I can fit those in. They might get to be the rearward lights. haha.
You're darn right they don't! haha. I'm in eastern MT, around the Glendive area. Thanks! :)Those are coming. I have 3 slots left on the light bar, so I'm gonna get some smaller square lights to go on those facing the rear. :D
Thanks.Waiting for my buddy to get a weekend off so we can go hunting. hahaThanks. Gonna have to check those out. I need ideas of where to put more. :D
Haha. Expensive, though. I figure I'll wait til I get my new bumper for that. Gonna order one of these soon.http://www.winchready.com/winch-bumpers/Ford/F150-F250-F350/1992-1998/66102Zf
Thanks. I couldn't believe how bright they were.I've also ordered a light bar for the roof, a set of hella 500's, and some 130w bulbs for them. :DI love my manual t-case. haha. And thanks. It's nice to be able to see when you're driving country roads at night.
