just got a 2011 escape awd after thanksgiving. has good tires but they are touring tires and not really suitable for snow. got a set of used escape 16" alloys the other day and want to get some winter tires, thinking of going a little smaller on size, say a 225/65/16 ( stock is 235/70/16) want...
I just bought a 2011 and it had this issue. was a little over 20 bucks for the new part, not too bad to replace. has one hell of a heater, I dont even need any speed over the lowest setting.
put some extra lighting on, didnt really want a light bar but its well hidden and the light it puts off is great, be able to see deer on those early morning commutes home. I don’t normally buy a installation / wiring kit, I usually have enough wire & stuff to build my own but this time I did...
no "edit" feature i guess. heres a picture of the hood right after i painted it. can see the lighter blue indent accents better on this picture.Untitled by anon omus, on Flickr
still havent got a set of white spokes for summer, tried the factory alloys and they just dont look right. these dont look bad, they are from a 01 jeep wrangler. finnally did the hood too, only bad thing is the dark blue i was using from rustoluem has been discontinued. i do like this metallic...
Untitled by dave bird, on Flickrjust weighed mine today, since trailer licence fees for non-commercial trailers are based on weight of trailer, i took off everything i could to make it weigh as little as possible. no side racks or cap, no tailgate, no toolbox or rear bumper, and i took off my...
thinking of adding this , right above the "R-140", where the "ranger xlt" emblem used to be. ive found a few places online for this, the originals are quite expensive. would be a neat touch though.Untitled by dave bird, on Flickr
painted the cap yesterday, today i finished up the stripe along the top of door and front fender, then put the cap back on. took a few pics cause i wont have the winter wheels on much longer, then the '76 hubcaps go away.R-140 “cropped “ by dave bird, on FlickrUntitled by dave bird, on...
1976 full wheel covers. these were took off a new truck and put up in storage. hadnt seen the light of day in over 40 years. was a 4x4 so had to silicone a plastic lid to the inside of the centers of the front hubcaps.Untitled by dave bird, on Flickr
the "R-140"next is the stripe going from the front fender to the back of the cab, it will taper to a point at the front. (kind of remembering the starsky & hutch torino) the "r-140" turned out good, still need to fill the holes on fender where the original ranger emblem was, cant really see it...
moved the 'ranger' emblem from the fender to the rear bedside (just like they did it back in the 70's) going to see about peicing together a "R-140" for the fender emblem. (it is a 'R" series, and little less than a "150" lol)Emblem on the bed- just like how it was done in the 70’s by dave...
was thinking the other day i have a set of full wheel covers from a 76 f150 that might look neat with my 70's themed two-tone scheme. still need to finish the silver on the cab and doors but plan on leaving the hood dark blue, dont want the suns reflection from the silver finish glaring at me...
i ended up passing on it, too much $ and they wouldnt come off the price, sure less than 20K miles, but still a 2005. i did test drive it and wasnt impressed, i figured it would have more performace than it did, my 94 has a curb weight of 3,000 and is much peppier to drive, yes it has 4.10 gears...
