Heres a build Paul and I put together to give someone an excellent bracket race or mud drag package at an affordable entry level price. $4000 no core. I dare anyone to duplicate this engine for less than $6000 in parts alone. The same attention to detail and quality parts(in many cases...
Just thought Id start a couple build threads....Heres a 468" 9:1 Silvolite or Speed Pro cast pistons(this one is Silvolite), King Bearings, Comp hydraulic flat tappet cam, recurved duraspark, D3 with a mild port job on the exhaust side with Comp springs, retainers and locks to match cam...
After speaking with Duncan (DNFXDLI) we are going to upgrade the wiring to better handle your new alternators charging ability at no additional charge. If buying a wiring harness ONLY please specify the amp rating for your alternator. Complete kits will come with the appropriate wiring for...
If we are junk yard hunting for the alternators we generally try to snag them from a 95 Mustang with the 3.8 or a Taurus with the 3.8. I "think" the 3.0s would have a 95 amp deal.2 sizes of 3g alternators are available. 7" and 8.25"
I have clocked alternators several times before but I cant think of why you would need to do this with an alternator that is more or less a direct bolt in. They are available with the mounting holes at the 12 and 6 o'clock position and I think I can get them in the 2 and 4 o'clock positions...
Thats a VERY bad idea to hog out your chambers to increase volume. You will completely fubar numerous things simultaneously. Also, the pistons do not appear to be for CJ valve pierce points
Absolutely forget about an EFI 521 unless you have deep, deep pockets. The stock computer CANNOT be reflashed to support more than 400hp....PERIOD.FAST, Megasquirt and other systems are $2500+ and require a fair amount of owner input to calibrate correctly and highly not recommended for...
I have nothing against NGKs but I like the Autolites. If anyone is interested, the rest of the build will be posted here:

Lifters didnt come in today - pissed!!!!!! Keep moving forward though.Slapped the timing chain cover and motor plate on, Swapped out the springs on #1, put the mid plate and flex plate on. Not much else to do until I get the lifters.Side viewJW "the wheel" sfi flex plate and...
I got a box full of stuff from Summit on Thursday. The lifters were on the invoice and supposedly packed but they were not in there when I opened the box. They were nice about it and sent a replacement without hesitation so I cant really complain. Its not like I have a race tomorrow or...
At a standstill until my lifters come in. I have a set here but they arent as bling daddy as the ones I have on the way from Summit. Shouldve had them Thursday night but now it looks like Monday.
Ive run Jomar filters in all my race engines for the past 5 or so years. Going to be rather difficult to get me to change brands. Do the Wix filters have a bypass?Results...
Looks like my cam has 4 degrees of timing built into it. Since I indian gifted my 9 keyway timing set back from Paul I...
