Can anyone shed some light on this issue? Will results of the inspection show up in the Oasis report as well as any required corrective actions? I am intending to trade my '11 on Wednesday and would like to know before hand....Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Hey, sorry, have not had much time to check in lately. I did have the reflash performed and the problem has not repeated yet. So far so good. I did get a check engine light over the weekend. When I got home I read the code and I had 2 occurrences of P0401 - EGR Low Flow. The dealer assessed that...
Yeah, that is a very valid point, just not looking forward to the process and to be honest I understand the purpose of the fee, I'd want to get paid as well.
So this intermittent issue with shift flares(2-3; delayed shift into gear from park; 1-2) has occured for about the last 15-20K miles. Because of the intermittent nature of the problem and not being able to really predict when it is likely to occur I have not pursued the fix. The dealer I have...
Yeah, looking at the clearance between the engine and the cowl I do not see how I would get it out safely any other way. Probably worth the investment.303-F047http://www.shopfreedomracing.com/Engine-Lifting-Bracket-303-F047-303-F047.htm
I am helping a friend replace his 5.4L engine with a new long block. Seems fairly straight forward but I am in the planning stages right now and I thought I would draw on the experience here for any advice. Thanks in advance.
Ok this issue is well documented and there is an applicable TSB (11-7-10). Does anyone here have experience with this issue or it's resolution? I will say that I do not notice any consistent pattern of occurrence except for that it seems to occur the first or second shift after engine start...
Vince, as I think more about this is there any concern that the axle is no longer aligned with the suspension? The driver side u-bolts were fairly loose. I measured the distance from the axle hub to the lower u-bolt bracket on both sides. They were not the same.
Rework.....I was under the truck this morning and noticed that the driver side block was about ready to fall out. I had this TSB performed at a Ford Dealer and it would appear that the u-bolts were never properly torqued. I had noticed some noise after the install but it was intermittent at...
Yeah, I seem to remember reading that somewhere but I'll be damned if I can find it. Anyways Vince, thanks for answering my question. Have a Happy New Year!
Thought I'd repost this over here since it seems more appropriate....Ok, as indicated below I own a 2011 F-250, FX-4, 156" WB... I came across this TSB which addresses F-250 Rear Sag. The TSB directs the replacement of the drive shaft. I stopped by my local Ford dealer and verified that an...
Vince, do you think that TSB 12-11-11 applied here? I see it was a 2011 F-550.http://www.fordservicecontent.com/pubs/content/~WT/~MUS~LEN/3525/tsb12-11-11.pdfIs there any physical difference between the factory supplied block and the "long block" that is directed for replacement? Do you...
Ok, as indicated below I own a 2011 F-250, FX-4, 156" WB... I came across this TSB which addresses F-250 Rear Sag. The TSB directs the replacement of the drive shaft. I stopped by my local Ford dealer and verified that an F-350, 4x4, 156" WB, 6.7L uses the same drive shaft. The TSB replaces...
Well I have had my truck for almost a year now and so far it has been great. It seems a lot of the diesel chatter occurs on other boards these days. I had the oil tested at the 2nd oil change which showed 1% fuel concentration. I have read that Ford is not even concerned unless it gets above...
I'll tell you it was a tough choice between what I have and the Ecoboost F-150 SCrew. If the dealer had one on the lot the day I stopped there I may have ended up with that since it will be years until I really "need" what I have. Even at that 7000 LBS is a lot of boat and I really don't see...
Yeah I changed my oil a few days ago. I'd say about 11 quarts made it in the pan and the rest ended up on the canvas tarp I had laid out because the oil could not drain into the collection pan fast enough, Ha! Think I'll just use a bucket from now on.
continued...The only "issues" to date are:
1) The A.C. receptacle in the center console only puts out between 90 and 100 volts. Some of the equipment I have tried to plug into it has not worked as a result as some chargers will not operate if voltage is not with in a certain range. The plug...
Well having just returned from a 2500 mile trip with a total of 7400 miles on the truck I can say that I am very happy with the performance of the truck. On the trip I averaged 21 MPG. I have not hand calculated that yet although I expect it to be close. That was 4 people in the truck with...
