Good morning all!At the risk of sounding completely clueless...I've attached a few pictures from under the hood of my truck in the hopes that all you experts will be able to tell me anything about what is and isn't factory, or anything you find interesting. I bought this and just want to...
So my 2004 F-250 speedo seems to be acting up...Whenever I'm stopped at a light, if I have the turn signal on, the speedo will jump along with the signal. Or, if I have my foot on the brake pedal, it will also cause the speedo needle to raise - take my foot off and the needle goes back down...
Good morning allAfter selling my last 6.0, we've moved a couple times and I've picked up another. We are now in the great state of Alaska, and I'm learning just how much the 6.0 likes warm climates. I'm sure I'll be on to ask questions and learn from everyone here.
Gentlemen, I thought I'd post this here for anyone that may be interested:http://sanangelo.craigslist.org/cto/4296468433.htmlAlso, if you have any input, please let me know. Thanks in advance, and have a great day!
OK, so the line isn't disconnected, but it is connected differently... On ours, the gray line is connected more behind the 'canister'.I also have been noticing that if I leave the controls alone, after maybe 40 seconds or so, it switches itself and cold air starts blowing out the way it should...
I don't have a code reader, so I guess I'll be relying on the dealership when I take her in. As far as the transmission temp sensor, is it a fairly simple task to replace, or does it require an engineering degree?Hope everyone is having a great weekend!
So Tues on the way to San Antonio, the orange wrench came on after maybe five or ten minutes of using the cruise control, and stayed on for the entire highway portion of the trip. As soon as we stopped for required snacks and started the truck again, it was off, but reappeared once we were...
So my F250 has been doing this thing lately - when you start it, no matter what position the AC selector is in, the air will be blowing out through the defrost ducts under the windshield. It's not until I move the switch a few times that it starts blowing out through the dash vents.Any...
Good day allIs installing a brake controller as simple as plugging in the two plugs that are hanging out in my dash? Is the below OEM module all I need...
Got this kit, and the ball valves. My next question is this: Do I need to add additional coolant to compensate for the increased capacity of the filter? If so, how much, and what type? Thanks all!
OK, after way too much stress and time spent on this, its running again. I soldered all the connections after removing those crap crimp connections, reconnected the batteries, and it fired right up! Apparently the crimping job wasn't done well enough. What have I learned from this? 1. Take...
Well, that was my attempt at a temp fix. Since there was no slack in the wiring, I tried to add some. I threw it all in there and taped it up... [further embarrassed]
OK, the pics aren't too clear, but here's what I found out:The separate wires in question are black/yellow and red/yellow.They seem to all go in a loom down the front of the engine and disappear underneath...Up top, they go into a loom that connects to the alternator?
Alright, I was hoping you would go the other route and say "definitely FICM", because in a frenzied rush I ordered one (Lots of reasons why I needed to get this done...). Anyway, it came overnight and I got busy installing it. No problems - it went smoothly, started right up, and sounded...
First, thanks for the input! But, before I read this I went and tested the FICM. It read 48v when in the 'on' position, but dropped to just over 20v during cranking...Does this change your opinion at all?
I've read up some and I suspect the FICM. I'm going to go test it now. In the meantime, has anyone dealt with http://circuitboardmedics.com/2003-2009-ford-ficm-buy-exchange-module/ to get a refurbished one? I guess you have to furnish your VIN and they flash it before sending it to you. Just...
Hey allToday we woke up and the truck won't start. It cranks just fine, and acts like it wants to start, rumbles like it is going to start, but doesn't. If I keep the key turned to 'start' I see smoke coming from the tailpipe for maybe 3-5 seconds, then none. How frustrating...
