Is it Bulletproofed?

I just bought this truck afew weeks ago. I just looked and this 6.0 has head studs. Has it been bulletproofed or does the factory use studs as well??

studs are not factory. but I'd be weary of a truck that's been dug into already.

get an oasis report. it'll tell you all issues truck has already been through.

My contention is, whenever you have multi-layer steel headgaskets, they are designed to promote movement. Studs allow for no movement. The Victor Reinz black onyx gaskets have a high rate of failure because they use sealer on them that "glues" the gasket down (no movement).

I agree Vince...when Ford did my EGR etc, we stayed with bolts.

As far as people worried about bolt "stretching", theres a picture of a new bolt along side an old one in my 6.0 headgasket thread.
