tire gash patch?

is there any tough tire patches that could fix a gash that goes all the way into the tire and also about 3-4 inches long? the local shops wont fix it due to "state laws" even though it is now a spare. almost full tread. ssr 35-14.5-15's the spare ripped on a trail. and interco is playing hard to get. suggestions anyone?

I doubt Interco would do anything about that considering YOU did it on a trail. That being said, swing in to a truck/semi shop and see if they won't tube it for you.

Slap a blow out patch on the tire and stick a tube in it. Not safe with a gash that big. It will separate and blow out very quick.

i wouldnt take the chance. i would just pony up the money for another spare. it aint gotta be a great tread spare but itll be better than a gashed somewhat repaired tire.

Patch wont hold, Tube it....

Edit to add.. Don't forget to SLIME the hell out of the tube... Wont stop a gash but will slow/ stop most punctures...

yea went to the diesel shop, and they said it wouldnt even be worth spending the money even though it would only cost about 25 bucks. just rip again the way i use my truck. so.
