Gotta go to Springfield tomorrow (may 12) for ASE testing after work. Got 5 of them. I'm going to be physically and mentally worn out after that.

More tests for the master tech?

I remember the diesel engine and auto trans tests were fairly challenging way back when I took them straight out of tech school.. The parts specialist test I took recently was nearly a joke though. Being a recert test, shouldn't be quite as bad as having to take them initially.

Good luck Vince...I'll be the one doing the one man wave outside the door cheering you on.

Testing is more tiring than physical labor most times.

Day for day...I'd take a physical day's labor over a mental's day labor almost everytime...but I believe physical takes more of toll over time.

Thank you, my good man!

Vince, you do enough of it day in, day out, it should be common answers to you. Just pay attention to the wording, the only thing that will trip you up. I'm sure you will do fine. I think you will actually find it easy, as it isn't any worse than your day to day diagnosing problems anyway.

This is the last time they will be giving them by booklet, all going computer starting this year.. they made a big issue of that. I was kind of surprised they hadn't done so already though..

Worked all day, then drive a customer's 08 F250 90 miles to the test site. I was worn out before I got there. Wouldn't suprise me if I bombed a couple of them. Wont know the results for a few weeks though.

Probably to test drive to see if a intermittent problem would happen. Not entirely unusual.

It was a nightmare truck. Guy shows dogs all over the country. Last time, he left here and the CEL didn't show until Pennsylvania. He went to a dealer there, and they couldnt find anything. After doing my test drive (got 17.6 mpg with a 6.4), light came on the next morning at first start. I found the problem at 5pm friday. One damned wire at the pcm connector (out of 90) was losing connection with the pin intermittently.
