exhaust idea

I ran across this exhaust tip, and had the crazy idea to fab one for my 7.3
How big would I have to make this IF I made 2 of them for dual exhaust.
the company only makes them for motorcycles

Set the Inlet size to the same as your exhaust pipe.. I'd do 4" but thats just me.

i think it would look cool if the black smoke was coming out of the smaller pipes. be hard to tell how big they would need to be so it didnt restrict it

the dyno on the motorcycle exhaust showed a HP increase, Im thinking If I built 2 of them 6 inches with 1 1/2 inch barrels it would be bad and remove the 50 pound muffler from my truck

as long as exhaust can still flow around them, i think it would be alright...

I think it would take about 16 one inch pipes to = a 4 inch pipe

In order to get the same area, it would take 16 1" pipes to equal one 4" pipe... Sounds pretty restrictive to me...

1"^2 * pi/4 = area of one 1" pipe = .785 sq. inches
4"^2 * pi/4 = area of one 4" pipe = 12.57 sq inches
12.57/.785= 16 even
