Help! Need Info Asap

OK, truck is leaving today and I've found a replacement vehicle for which I need an Oasis so I know if it's decent.

2000 Ford Explorer

4.0l V-6 I'm told. 128,000 miles. Are these a pretty good reliable truck? Will it handle towing a 6x12 6' tall box trailer ok? Trailer is roughly 2000 lbs plus maybe 2-3000 lbs load. So, like a 5000 lbs load?

Anything I should look at carefully?
