Got my DeWalt rotary this morning and I ran outside to give it a test run on my cousin's oxidized 300M. Check this out:

Thanks gentlemen, I guess I'm making a trip up the east coast! :D

I'm getting accustomed to this beast, but I still need to purchase some proper pads and compound. Ran it on the Lincoln a few minutes ago.

Didn't polish, so there are still some fine scratches in the paint.

Seriously man...I'm always a chickenshit when it comes to running a buffer across my rigs, especially the black ones. You come this way, I'd have no issues sliding you a few bucks.

Supplemental income and travel, I'm game! :D

Ben, I'll tell you this; it may be a while before I go playing with a black vehicle simply on the point of I don't have one to practice on. But I know exactly what you mean! I'll give you a heads up if I'm ever headed up that way.

Well, if you come DOWN to Maine, don't come from November through May, July or August, which leaves only June and September and parts of October (for foliage season).

Made some more progress on the Flying Purple People Eater...

I did some more research on the interwebs as to proper technique and pad/chemical combinations. Needless to say, I have a few boxes on the brown truck headed my way.

Did a light compound and polish on the hood.

A quick wash:

Then clay (notice the crap in this paint!):

Hazy:

Squirrels & scratches:

And then corrected:

Throw on some polish:

And you're golden!
