However, used carriers are easy to find. A high pinion 44 is the same for ttb or mono beam. You can scour the junkyards and find a carrier cheap.

No problem. I did that when I swapped to 4.10's in my 81 bronco. I took the carrier out of a 70's high pinion straight axle.
