I am being told repeatedly that I cannot change a 4r70w with a 4r100.
I have a 99 Expedition that originally came with a 4.6L. Motor was blown, so replaced the block with 5.4L from a 98 Expedition. So, keep all the electrical from the 4.6L and the 4r70w Transmission fried a few weeks ago. Found a 2002 Expedition transmission (4r100). Say, I managed to fabricate everything to where the transmisison is bolted up, which it is, including changing the harness so it connects. What am I missing that the trans doesn't want to shift correctly?? Input/output shaft speed sensors?? I'm running out of ideas where to go from here. Can't use the computer from the 02 either, so what do you suggest?
