Doc, if its not to much of an issue, would you pull that piston out, and see where the rings are, the ring gap is actually what i am interested in, was that it that we see or did it snap the rings....
Im leaning towards the first one, but i could be mistaken, just curious.
Only if ya dont mind man, if its a pain no big deal .

Just so everyone knows how the new build is going here is an update....

Just took the parts up to the machinist and found out that my heads and pistons I had planned on using are not gonna be good enough for this new motor....So now I am going to order some Trick Flow Twisted Wedge heads, some Manley .020 over pistons, bore the new block .020 over and install some moly rings with it. I already have the Manley rods and ARP bolt kit, I am ordering a main stud and head stud kit from Johnny lightning Performance, Stage 3 comp cams and gears for her. This project just got extended a little since I am not making what I used to.... I still would like to see this on the road in the next 2 months.....

To run that 18-20 psi boost, you planning on strictly using race gas?

and your engine builder is suggesting that will be ok for that level of boost?...not trying to be a smartazz...I've spent the last 2 years researching upgrades for my Shelby...and 18psi is the absolute border line for 93...add a bit of heat soak and it's gonna pull a pile of timing out of that.
