Most of you have seen the build thread. Things came up, truck needs to go. Build thread is here: http://www.fullsizebronco.com/forum/showthread.php?t=2130178500 as it sits.
Yesterday I got the motor running in the Supercab. I was getting a popping sound, didn't sound like it was coming out of the exhaust. Anyhow I just pulled the valve covers, set the motor to TDC and on the intake valve of the #1 cylinder I measured .063 thousands clearance beween the rocker and...
Ok, well it really isn't junk but I got a guy interested in it. I don't know what it is worth or whether it is worth hanging on to for the future. This stuff came from the 350 and the Bronco and both were Cali specific.
I'm thinking of bed lining the door jamb. I'm thinking of doing the hinge pillar part only and on the inside jamb of the door. The upper side of the jamb will be only paint. I have already done the front section of the lower cowl. What do you guys think?A little help for installing the bolts...
Well I finally got the truck home about 2 weeks ago. I have been slowly going at it. Some pics to bring it up to speed here.As many of you know this truck came out of Ca. It is a 79 F-350 4x4 with 49K miles. I am at the start of stripping it down to get it ready for paint. What it looked...
I know I haven't posted here much, or anywhere much for that matter. My son has been doing a lot of travel baseball so my time has been kept busy with that. Just dropped by to let you all know that I ended up selling my F-250. A guy in Germany saw it on ebay a few weeks back and bought it. It...
All prices plus shipping, make an offer on what you want.3 speed trans with OD, it is marked D8 which would be a 78 truck. Prefer pickup only on this. 50.00Brand new Spicer front axle shafts for a 78-79 D44. A little pitted but will work fine. 125.00 for the pair.78-79 steering...
Does your steering wheel pull up and slide down? Well here is your problem. The original locknut that holds the U-joint together on the shaft loosens up. About the only way to solve this is to completely dissassemble the entire column to get to the nut. You could just tighten the nut up once...
Found all of this today at the Jefferson, Wi swap meet.tilt column, 50 bucksantenna's, 5 bucks eachCB/radio antenna splitter, 2 bucks2 sets of rear cargo covers for a Bronco, 20 bucksThe best part is one of the antenna's is a factory CB antenna and the other is a correct truck/Bronco...
These were just posted on another board. This is one of the best looking examples left that I have seen in a long time. I expect, knowing the guys background, it is going to be up on ebay once he is finished detailing it. I'm guessing that it might hit as high as 20K.79 with 62k act. miles...
I went and looked at this truck today. I couldn't believe my eyes when I opened up the driver door and looked at the interior. I sat in it and thought it was 1980 again. Not a rip in the seat, stock AM/FM stereo radio still in the dash, a mint tilt column that looked like it was an NOS unit just...
I am now a distributor for Al's Liner. It is a DIY kit that comes in Black, Gray and Tan. You can tint it to match your trucks color as well.I'm offering up a great Christmas sale. I am also offering free use of the spray gun to save you an extra expense. If your interested send me a PM or...
I always watch when new 79 F-350's show up on ebay. I watched this one sell for 9600 a couple weeks ago and thought it was a pretty good price for a true F-350. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=140321958143&viewitem=Now I see the buyer has again put...
Well the old Continentals finally wore themselves out. I ended up doing a 2" leveling kit up front with a set of 35" Dic k Cepek Fun Country II's on the stock rim.Stock:Lifted, what a much better stance.I'm going to put the plow on tommorow to check clearance. I might have to order a...
What's wrong with this truck? Something is missing from it, care to guess. This is the same guy I bought my 79 F-350 supercab from who told me it was a D60 but tended up being a D44 when I got the truck here...
So I'm not big on the aluminum rail screwed in the body of the Bronco nor do I much care for the look of it while the top is off. I decided to take an old hard top and modify it to accept my soft top. The screw holes in the body I plan on putting some paintable silicone over and then touching up...
So after seeing how this guy set his soft top up with the carcass of an old hardtop I've decided to try to do something similiar.I picked up the old hard top from the farm yesterday and started cutting. I got a little fiberglass reinforcement to do as some of the bonding has broke...
Figured I would throw up some pics of my 250 for those that have not seen it before. I did a complete frame off on this about 4-5 years back. While I had it ripped apart I swapped in a mildly rebuilt 70 Thunderjet 429 motor with the D0VE heads. It has Dana 60's front and rear with 4.10 gears...
Here is my Bronco nearing the end of a 3 year project. I picked this one up out of Ca and rebuilt it.This what it looked like when I got it:Here is how it looks now. I am just waiting on my 35" tires to show up, hopefully by Wed.Interior before:And after:I've also added the...
Rick (rsalter66) sent me the link for this place. I figured I'd join up and see how it goes, I see quite a few familiar names here. My name is Scott and I'm from Northern Illinois. I have a 79 F-250 with a 70 429 motor and a 79 Bronco that I just completed a restoration on. My DD is an 06 crew...
